The amount of medication that reaches the lungs during inhalation depends on the respirable fraction — the percentage of properly sized particles in the aerosol. The B.Well MED-130 nebulizer produces an aerosol where 85% of particles are smaller than 5 microns. This means the device delivers medication to the lower airways with virtually no loss.
